Zippy puppeteer Ronnie Lew Drew coming to Wolverhampton
Puppeteer Ronnie Lew Drew, best known for Zippy in children's favourite Rainbow, is coming to Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
The Canadian entertainer will be there on Saturday, February 10 at 2pm. to talk about his 50-year career working in theatre film and TV
Tickets are £5 and will be available from Wednesday.
The visit comes as anew exhibition Clangers, Bagpuss & Co, which will revive memories of classic children's TV from the 1960s and 1970s. opens at the gallery and runs from February 10 to April 29.
The touring exhibition from the Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood includes some of the original puppets, sets and storyboards from the many series created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin and filmed in a barn in rural Kent.
