Over 100 people filled the Duke of Cambridge Pub, Colthan Road, Willenhall to listen to different acoustic rock performers throughout the afternoon.

The money went to MS Society in the Black Country- a group of local people suffering with the neurological conditional, their family, friends and carers who support one another.

Landlord, Chris Plumbly, 58, Willnehall, suffers with MS himself.

He said: "I was working behind the bar but it was absolutely brilliant. There were quite a few people in and out the door, it was an absolutely cracking atmosphere.

"For a small backstreet pub for one afternoon, I was very pleased with the money we raised."

The afternoon went on from 4pm to 10pm and was arranged by Doddy White of Facebook fan group Rockers Through the Ages.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a lifelong condition that is due to a problem with the immune system and can affect the brain or spinal cord.

It is estimated there are more than 100,000 people diagnosed with MS ni the UK.

Symptoms vary from problems with vision, arm or leg movement, muscle stiffness and problems with learning.

He added: "I have good weeks and bad weeks. I was diagnosed in 1990 so I have been very luck because it has progressed in a lot of people.

"The pain can be excruciating. I am quite fortunate with the staff I have got that I have been able to sit down rather than run around like a Looney Tune because it it my legs where I have the problem."

They hope to hold the event in the future and even make it an annual event.
