Cast members Sophia Adams who plays Ariel, Eduard Kushtanov who plays Kristoff - and ensemble skaters Artem Kotov, Madeline Gallagher and Sydney Streu - visited the city attraction ahead of their string of performances during half term.

The National Sea Life Centre spokesperson Chris Coventry said: ‘It was great to welcome the cast to the aquarium to gather inspiration for being on the ice in our Penguin Ice Adventure, and provide a different location for them to practice their moves ahead of their show performances next week.

"They really enjoyed visiting and particularly appreciated seeing all the weird and wonderful creatures from ‘Under the Sea’ in real life in our 360 degree ocean tunnel!’

The aquarium is no stranger to hosting familiar faces. Most notably this year they welcomed Danielle Lloyd and her family, Paralympic Gold Medallist Ellie Simmonds, and Steve Mcfadden who playsEastenders’ notorious Phil Mitchell, who has since been named cod-father to their rare baby penguins born this summer.

"We’re honoured that the National Sea Life Centre continues to be at the top of everyone’s list when visiting Birmingham," says Chris Coventry.

"With our large colony of cheeky Gentoo penguins, a giant pacific octopus and the UK’s only 360 degree ocean tunnel complete with glittering tropical fish, sharks and a giant green sea turtle, there really is something for everyone to enjoy here".
