Birmingham Weekender: Weekend event begins with Birmingham Symphony Orchestra performance in New Street Station
Birmingham Weekender has begun with a performance from The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at New Street Station.
Music Director Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla conducted music by Beethoven, Haydn, Tchaikovsky and Copland to the city’s commuters.
Following the success of their first festival in 2015, the event takes place from September 22 until September 24, with live performances in unusual spaces across the weekend.
The exciting programme includes new commissions, world premieres, roaming and pop-up street theatre, participative events and workshops, and much more.
