The event runs at 1st Sedgley Scouts' Jubilee Hall, off Ladies Walk, on September 22 and 23.

There will be more than 30 real ales, eight ciders and wine on sale this year.

Festival vice chairman, David Baugh said: “We are very excited about our fifth year. The beer festival just keeps going from strength to strength. We choose such great ales and top quality live music that people just love it. So many local folks create a superb atmosphere, its Sedgley’s premier event, where everyone is pretty certain to meet old friends."

Beer manager Dave Mitchell said: “We have some really excellent ales from far and wide to choose from as well as some local favourites.”

The money raised from the beer festival will be used to benefit the scout gGroup, Children in Need, and local charities.

The scouts will use their share of the proceeds to complete work on a new roof. The festival has already help them provide for new toilets, building improvements, and a logged cabin.

Thursfields Solicitors and Midland Business Recovery have come forward to sponsor the 2017 event.

Drinkers will be entertained on Friday night from 5pm with live blues, folk and rock from locals Ben and Alun Davies and Irish band Damn the Weather.

Joining the line-up on Saturday afternoon from 12 noon will be Sedgley Ukulele Strummers wth rock band The Starving Dogs playing on the evening.

The entrance fee of £10 includes a souvenir festival glass which celebrates Jubilee Hall, which opened 40 years ago in 1977.
