Black Country Miss England hopeful wants to start her own charity
A Black Country teen vying for a shot at becoming the next Miss England has been preparing to impress judges.
Isobel Lines, 17, from Wednesbury, has been raising funds for charity in a bid to ready for the Miss Worcestershire finals in October.
The teen, who currently holds the Miss Black Country Social Media title and has 3000 followers online, has already raised £500 for the Miss England charity Beauty With A Purpose.
Miss Lines said: "I first started back in April, I did Miss Black Country and I won Miss Social Media where I had to get the most votes on social media.
"I have raised over £500 for disadvantaged children for Beauty With A Purpose - the Miss England charity.
"I have done auctions and raffles, I want to get to £1000 by November.
"What I want to do is when I do finish horse riding I want to create my own charity to help disadvantaged children be able to ride horses."
Miss Lines, who studies English literature and physical education at Stuart Bathurst 6th Form in Wednesbury, has also ridden horses and competed at the Horse of the Year show at the NEC for the last 8 years.
The 6th form student also hopes to go on to attend the University of Birmingham to complete a degree in sports science.
Miss Worcestershire see's around 15 competitors selected by judges from email applications, who then travel to the venue a week before the final to be interviewed in person.
Candidates will then be asked about themselves and the things they have done in the build up to the competition.
Candidates will be judged on anything from publicity, popularity, intellect, social media and sports.
