The first ever Lock Stock at Willenhall Park was a huge success according to organisers, who say that the response from the community was so positive the show will return next year.

After a year of planning, more than 20 bands and singers performed at the park on September 3, including tributes to Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder and Elvis Presley, who performed alongside up and coming artists such as Jamie Leigh and Lisa Morrall.

Thousands of pounds was raised for charity on the day, which is still being counted and will be given to community groups from the town.

Co-organiser Harry Constable, who put the event together with colleague Nigel Dutton, said: "It was a fantastic day, we had great bands, great company and no trouble.

"More than 2,000 people came out throughout the day despite the weather not being great, so we have to thank everyone for making time to come out.

"It has convinced us to go again next year, we really want to build something here to put Willenhall back on the map."
