With a wide variety of model railways and die cast models on offer at Bridgnorth Toy and Model Collectors Fair, shoppers could browse both their favourite childhood toys and modern classics.

Tony Oakes, who organised the event, said: "We had a lot of people in and a lot of the stalls reported they were doing good trading.

"We had vintage toys, pre-war right through to brand new. Some of the older collectors get involved because of nostalgia. Some of them are buying the toys they couldn't afford when they were little.

"We're starting a new toy fair at Ludlow Race Course on September 2, which is looking very promising. It's a great venue, free parking, and just a nice part of world to be in.

"The next fair in Bridgnorth will take place on January 1."
