Everything from thrill-seekers to bargain hunters is covered at the West Bromwich park venue on Salter's Lane.

Furthermore, punters can check some of the region's strongest weightlifters in the popular Sandwell's Strongest contest, consisting of a new women's division going up against each other, in atlas stone lifting, log lifting and tractor pulls throughout Sunday and Monday.

Sandwell's Leisure Trust fitness development officer Paul Badhams said "The event is always a crowd favourite so be sure to come along and show your support of the competition."

The fun fair is open all weekend from 10am to 5pm. The car boot is on Sunday, £5 is charged for cars and £10 for vans, selling vehicles should arrive at 7am and must be set-up by 9am.

Other activities on offer are animal handling sessions on Sunday and Monday from the Country Park's farmyard creatures, alongside a display of farm machinery from tractors to a combine harvester. Junior quad bikes are available for high-octane youngsters.

Some activities may charge, while £2 car parking covers a whole day. Other park activities, including Valley cycles, foot-golf and mini-golf are also open for use.
