Celebrate The Hobbit's birthday at Sarehole Mill
An Unexpected Birthday celebration is being held at Sarehole Mill in Hall Green, Birmingham, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the publication of JRR Tolkien's book The Hobbit.
Tickets are £25 for the event on September 9 at 7pm which will feature live music, a hog roast, plenty of ale and a slice of birthday cake.
It also forms part of the annual Middle Earth Festival at the mill on September 9 and 10.
It includes an elven path trail, Two Towers Brewery's stand and people dressed as Tolkien characters
Both days are free from 11am to 5pm.
