V Festival 2017: Thousands head to Weston Park for day one - with pictures
Thousands of music fans descended on Staffordshire's Weston Park today for the first day of V Festival 2017.
Spells of rain didn't deter revellers as they enjoyed the likes of The Wailers, Clean Bandit, Jason Derulo, Emelie Sande, Stormzy, Ellie Goulding and more.
Headlining day one in Staffordshire was American rapper Jay Z, making his only 2017 appearance at the festival.

Fans were met at the festival by thorough bag searches and armed police. This is the first time armed officers have been overtly patrolling at the Weston Park event.
