V Festival 2017: Jason Derulo - review

He exploded onto the stage with flames shooting into the sky. Jason Derulo's set at V was high octane stuff from beginning to end.

The singer is just 27 but has already sold 30 million copies of his long list of hits over almost a decade.

It was a typically British grey day but the American singer brightened it up considerably - at least for the ladies!

Wiggle was a great opener, getting everyone dancing and enjoying the moves of his backing band and dancers, male and female. There was as much wiggling going on in the audience as there was on stage.

Derulo seemed to be able to switch seamlessly from pop to R&B, hip hop to the almost gospel style of Trumpets which brought a huge roar of appreciation from the crowd. They joined in word perfect to the lyrics.

There was an even bigger cheer when Derulo and team stripped off up top showing us their six packs. The perfectly chiselled body of the singer seemed to mesmerise the ladies, and left the lads in the audience with muscle envy.

They stood watching, nonplussed, as Derulo gyrated around the stage showing off his tattoos, and his female dancers gyrated erotically around him.

Ask the girls in the audience, daughters, mothers and grandmothers about the best part of the set, and it would be Derulo's physique.

The female side of the audience squealed as the opening bars of Talk Dirty to Me started to play.

It was the best part of the set once again showing that even in just one song Derulo could mix up the genres of music and put on a phenomenal show.
