Glorious new take on cathedral’s beauty
As the only medieval three-spired building of its type Lichfield Cathedral is already a stunning structure to behold but now it has been captured in a new perspective - upside down and distorted through a glass ball.
The unique take on the historic venue at The Close, taken by Phil Drury, was selected as the winner of a photograph competition encouraging budding snappers to take an original picture of the cathedral.
As a result he has scooped a family ticket to see two Disney films screened there.
It is part of the cathedral's 'Great Exhibition' titled 'Earth: What a Wonderful World?' which takes place between Saturday, August 19 to Monday, August 28, featuring a range of artistic visual elements to examine how the natural world has influence architecture throughout history, including the cathedral itself.
