Angelo Starr to pay tribute to Edwin Starr at Northern Soul Live
The Edwin Starr Band will team up with his younger brother, Angelo Starr, when Northern Soul Live reaches Bromsgrove.
The band, otherwise known as The Team, formed in 1982. Since Edwin's death in 2003, The Team has been fronted by Angelo Starr performing all of Edwin's classic songs such as War, Stop Her on Sight, Headline News, Time and more.
The Team’s reputation for producing outstanding live performances has seen many legendary artists perform with the including The Temptations, Ben E. King and The Four Tops.
Northern Soul star Lorraine Silver will appear as special guest of the evening.
The London-born singer, known best for the record Lost Summer Love, was signed by PYE records at just 13 after recording a version of Bryan Hyland;s Sealed With A Kiss in a do-it-yoruself booth in a brand on Woolworths in London.
Northern Soul Live will appear at Bromsgrove Artrix on September 16.
