A popular festival is all set for its return under a new - and slightly less confusing - title this weekend.

The inaugural A5 Live Festival will be held this weekend at 237 Watling Street, Brownhills, with acts such as Ties Unbroken, Soul Child and Funk and Disorderly heading up the bill, while a host of classic cars will also be on display.

The three day event starts on Friday and will continue through to Sunday and carries on the tradition started by Cockfest, a popular draw since its inception in 2014.

The family run festival started out on a much smaller scale, with just 50 people turning up to enjoy a BBQ and live music, however it has grown since then and is now ready to take the next step forward.

The event, which was given its previous name due to it being located on a poultry farm, will be raising money for McMillan Cancer Support.

Organiser Martin Payton said: "Things are going well as we prepare for the first A5 Live festival, we are all working around the clock to make sure everything is as good as it can be for our guests and performing artists.

"The event will feature live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there will also be a classic/motorsport car display, custom bikes and scooters along with live mobile firing range, metal detecting walk and falconry display.
