A brand new comic convention is coming to Birmingham this weekend.

Not Another Comic Con is Birmingham’s newest convention full of merchants, retro gaming, comic creators and guest stars.

Confirmed TV guests include Mark Dexter from Doctor Who and Red Dwarf, Frank Huseyin, known for his work on Saving Private Ryan and Star Wars: Episode I, Martin Ballantyne who featured in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales as a townsman and also as one of Joker’s Henchman in The Dark Knight.

More guests are to be announced.

Comic artists include Sarah Graley, a local comic artist who studied at the Birmingham University. She has worked on comics for Rick and Morty and recently released her own comic “Kim Reaper” and Ian Edginton who is famously known for his work on the Judge Dredd Megazine.

Interactive exhibits will also be on offer including a Mario Kart tournament to win a voucher for Forbidden Planet International, and a cosplay competition.

The event is being put on as a final project of a MA Events and Exhibitions Management course by organiser and coordinator Peter Burke.

Not Another Comic Con will be hosted at Birmingham Hotel Novotel. Tickets start at £5.00 for a standard entry ticket.
