But these pictures are taken from inside a popular Black Country restaurant, which has been completely refurbished after it was left gutted last year following a devastating fire.

Hickory's Smokehouse once again opened up for business on Wednesday and has been welcoming customers back through its doors.

Restaurant bosses say they have enjoyed a cracking start to business, and they have thanked the public for all the support shown in helping them to get up and running again.

Adam Thompson, the restaurant general manager, said: "The restaurant is going well after we officially opened on Wednesday.

"We have had a cracking start and hopefully that will continue.

"We have been overwhelmed by the support that has been shown.

"The interior looks fabulous. We started with a blank canvas to work with. With the design, we have made a nod to the Kingfisher (a pub which was on the site before)."

The restaurant, situated on Kidderminster Road in Wall Heath, was left almost completely destroyed following the blaze in August.

It has been remodelled, with the interior designed around a rustic, wooden theme.

Large wooden beams stretch across the ceiling beneath a stone-coloured roof featuring a brick design.

Wooden tables and chairs to accommodate dozens of guests sit perched on the wooden-decked floor.

The bar counters are also styled with wood. All the surfaces inside appear polished.

Meanwhile on the outside, the building has been painted in a cream and dark green colour.

The roof is thatched, adding to the old-fashioned theme that the designers of the build had envisioned.

The restaurant's name is plastered across the site in an old-fashioned serif-font - adding to the old western feel of the place.

Restaurant bosses have described the refurbishment as being like 'a real phoenix rising from the ashes'.

Paula Brown, community manager for the venue, said: “We just want to welcome everyone back after they stuck by us for the past 11 months.”

The fire which took place on August 25 was the result of an electrical fault in the fridge.

A total of 15 fire crews were called to the tackle the blaze. At the peak of the fire, there were 100 firefighters on the scene working to get the fire under control.

Hickory's originally opened at the site in November 2015, which was once home to the iconic nightspot called the Kingfisher Club which hosted huge names in music such as The Drifters, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles.

Firefighters who tackled the blaze were welcomed back to the restaurant last week as a thank you.

Dozens of firefighters returned to the site on Saturday (22).

Restaurant chiefs paid homage to the actions of fire crews, and unveiled a phoenix painting which has taken pride of place inside.
