Award-winning film to be screened at Bilston Town Hall

Lion - starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara and David Wenham - is based on the true story of Saroo, who gets lost in a train station in India at five years old which leads to him being swept into the care system. He is ultimately adopted by a kindly Australian couple and leads a charmed life, but twenty five years later armed with only a handful of memories he strives to find his birth family.

The film will be shown at 1.30pm at the Town Hall in Bilston on July 17.

The venue will have hot and cold drinks on offer as well as having a loop system installed for the film, and disabled access on hand.

Films are screened monthly at the Town Hall, with the next being The Time of Their Lives on September 25.
