Thrill-seekers take to the skies for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice - with video
Thrill-seekers are being challenged to complete an exhilarating ‘loop the loop’ this summer, whilst raising crucial funds for a local charity.
With the aid of a personal pilot, flyers will perform an array of aerial acrobatics in a RAF Slingsby Firefly – with the most daring being able to take charge and fly the plane themselves.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice – which provides expert care and support to families living with terminal illness – is the only charity in Birmingham to be offering this one-of-a-kind experience. Its services are free of charge to all patients and their relatives, and so relies on the generosity of local people to help fund its vital care.
The Hospice provides free care and support for over 1,200 individuals and their families, carers and loved ones. Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice offers a range of services at the Hospice, in people’s homes and in the local community all of which give individuals more choice and access to expertise and care.
The ‘loop the loop’ experience costs £150 but the Hospice will cover this if £395 is raised in sponsorship. It starts at 9am and finishes at 4pm. To book a place or to find out more, visit: https://www.birminghamhospice.org.uk/
