The Museum of Cannock Chase will host the event on Saturday, July 1.

Anyone interested in fabric-related craft work from embroidery to quilting has been invited to go along.

As well as stalls selling goods there will also be a number of workshops for people to learn new techniques which they can book in advance or request on the day.

The festival coincides with two exhibits currently on display at museum.

One is located in the cafe shop and features stitched post cards which have been produced by members of the public.

While the main exhibition is called 'Cannock Chase - In Stitch' by artist Jo Hill, which includes a variety of 3D and 2D creations which people will be able to see until August 13.

A museum spokeswoman said: "As well as coming to enjoy the actual festival people will be able to book onto workshops to learn a new skill and make something which they can take home with them that day."

The event runs from 11am until 4.30pm on the day.

Admission costs £3.
