Stories from Baggies, Blues and Villa fans will feature in the new show.

The drama of theatre meets the thrill of football in Stadium, which is heading to a West Midlands theatre.

The show features real stories and memories from fans from across the Midlands footballing spectrum – with their unconditional love for their teams coming under the spotlight.

Stadium features interviews, insights, music and songs from fans and inspirational supporters.

Among the highlights are a bagpiper who has played at hundreds of matches, to fundraising legend and Baggies fan Blind Dave as well as the bride who got married in the colours of her beloved Blues and the Villa Rockets Powerchair football team.

Dave Heeley said: "The story is primarily about Blues and Villa fans, I think they've thrown me into the mix for a bit of Premier League class.

"It's been absolutely fantastic so far, I've really enjoyed treading the boards. All those involved are just normal fans, but those behind the show are great professionals.

"Seamus (Dave's guide dog) is with me too – he's the star of the show I think.

"It's a lovely thing to be part of, there's great banter and friendship between us, a really lovely feeling.

"I couldn't do this as a profession though – you're on for three minutes, then you're waiting about for three hours, I think they get paid their millions out of sympathy for their boredom."

Aside from his stint on the stage, Blind Dave is edging closer to the halfway mark in Great Run series he embarked on at the start of the year.

He's aiming to run all 26 of the Great Run series and estimates to have raised about £4,000 already for the Albion Foundation

You can see him on stage in the Stadium at Birmingham’s Repertory Theatre until June 17.
