Wolverhampton's The Way Youth Zone announces music festival

A festival showcasing the best of local musical talent is being held in Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Based in The Way Youth Zone, in School Street, organisers of The WayFest say it will boast some of the best urban music artists from across the West Midlands.

Vital, aka Vernon Caisley, The WayFest headliner, part organiser and Music Worker at The Way, said: "I'm really proud to launch the first ever WayFest.

"It's going to be one of the biggest and best music festivals in Wolverhampton for young people."

Acts will include Vital, Jinx Touchwood, Elektric, Christian Deveaux, Sophie Lou and OWTO plus DJ sets from DJ Jay Mac and DJ King Pin. Entry to the event is just £1. Mr Caisley, added: "There'll be a summer festival vibe through the whole Youth Zone with circus performers, stilt walkers, retro games and so much more.

"There'll even be free street food and a massive barbeque."

The WayFest starts at 4pm with the live music from 6pm with the headline act hitting the stage at around 8pm.
