Glenn Hughes to play Cannock gig
Rock legend Glenn Hughes will be returning to Cannock where he was born and bred for an intimate gig this summer, the Express & Star can reveal.
The homecoming event in July will be held at the town's Premier Suite lounge where he has never performed before.
Bosses have also confirmed that American singer Tiffany, who delivered an impromptu warm-up gig at sister business Bar Sport last June, will be returning in May for a 'proper show'.
Former Deep Purple star Hughes is a major coup for the Premier Suite having only been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. He did a show at Bilston's Robin 2 in January.
Scott Murray, who owns Bar Sport and Premier Suite on High Green, said: "I am a family friend of Glenn Hughes and have stayed with him at his home in LA. I have known him for years.
"We have been talking about a show for a few years. He hasn't performed here for ages – he would not usually do a small place like Cannock so this is really big for us."
As well as enjoying a show from the man himself VIP packages will also be available which will include a photograph with the rocker, who was also bassist with Black Sabbath. Meanwhile 1980s star Tiffany will be doing two concerts on May 26 and 27.
Tickets to see Tiffany will cost £20 while Glenn Hughes will be priced at £35.
