V Festival 2017: Lee Nelson and Seann Walsh among comedians to perform

Lee Nelson and Seann Walsh will be among those headlining the comedy tent at this year's V Festival.

Also joining the comedians at the Weston Park event will be Joel Dommett, Jen Brister, Rob Deering and Kate Lucas.

Playing the music stages across the weekend will be Jay Z, Pink, Busted, Clean Bandit, Craig David, Dizzee Rascal, Rudimental, Scouting for Girls, Stormzy, Ellie Goulding, Example, Jason Derulo, Madness, Jess Glynne and more.

A number comedians who are lesser-known in the UK will also be taking to the Glee Comedy Tent. Among these are Irish comedy and hip-hop duo The Rubberbandits, Laura Lexx - who has been shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award, Aussie comic Damo Clark and rising Yorkshire-born star Scott Bennett. CBBC's Inel Tomlinson (of Johnny and Inel) will also perform, as well as comedy club stalwart Matt Reed and Steve Shanyaski, who was voted as Birmingham Comedy Festival's Best Breaking Talent in 2005.

Also appearing will be Brighton comedian Michael Fabbri, Comedy Store's Marlon Davis, Canadian funnygirl Allyson June Smith and V Festival veteran Andy Robinson.

TV warm-up artist Mark olver will host the proceedings on the Sunday at Weston Park, while Kevin McCarthy will be hosting the Saturday shows.

V Festival will take place on August 19 and 20.
