And now British Sea Power are back with a series of bigger shows to support of their highly-anticipated album, Let The Dancers Inherit The Party.

They headline Birmingham's O2 2 on Thursday.

The indie oddballs are national treasures who've done things their own way throughout their career.

Guitarist Martin Noble says: "We wanted to focus on writing songs in a more classical way. Strong melodies, verses and choruses, a bit more upbeat. We also gave a load of songs to our producer, and his idea was to try and make the album more cohesive. We do tend to write such a big variety of songs, and sometimes they don't fit together or have a mood that flows. That was one of the main aims, to create a similar mood."

The band formed in 2000 and Let The Dancers Inherit The Party is their 10th album.
