Birmingham NEC wins top award
The Birmingham NEC has won its first international award after securing the 2017 operations and services award from the UFI.
The award is for the best exhibition industry initiative to enable a perfect customer journey to and in the venue.
The winners were announced at the UFI Operations and Services Focus Conference held in Utrecht, Holland.
Competing against Messe, Frankfurt and Suntec, the NEC was announced as the clear winner with 74 per cent of the votes.
Kathryn James, managing director of the NEC Group Conventions and Exhibitions, said: "At the NEC, we put the customer experience at the heart of everything we do and we believe we have the perfect recipe to offer a truly great customer journey.
"We are delighted that we have been recognised in this area on the global stage."
