Secg, which began in Sedgley in 1968 but now holds rehearsals and performances at Towers Theatre, Tettenhall College, Wolverhampton, will perform The Anniversary from tomorrow until Saturday.

The comedy, written by playwright Bill Macilwraith, tells the story of a mother and her three sons.

Every year she holds an anniversary party at her home to celebrate her and her husband's wedding anniversary – even though her husband is long dead.

The mother, who wears an eye-patch, uses the party to belittle her sons – but they rebel and the play explores the consequences.

The company has been at work on this production since the middle of January, rehearsing twice a week since then. Now, they are rehearsing every day.

Tickets costing £7 are at Tettenhall Post Office or via the theatre's website secgatheatrecompany.vpweb.co.uk
