The show reaches Birmingham's O2 Academy tomorrow and the band will perform psalms from their surprise EP, Popestar, as well as songs from their current critically-acclaimed album, Meliora and beyond.

Ghost's nameless ghouls are on the road witih frontman Papa Emeritus III. He says: "I am a creature of the night, not just in the band, so I stay out all night because it's the only time of day that I feel calm. No one else is awake, so I can do my stuff, and no one else is calling for my time.

"On a typical day, I usually arise around 2pm. I have a coffee and cigarette on the balcony, and then I usually take my bike from the small town that I live in to the city. Almost every day I go to the same second hand store, because in my opinion that's the only time I'm going to find surprises."
