Birds and bees are set to keep visitors busy when they visit the Oak House Museum in West Bromwich during the school holidays.

Staff at the historic house will be holding a bird week with lots of activities based on our feathered friends.

Rebecca Butler, visitors services officer, said: "We're really excited about all of the events we have coming up.

"It's going to be a fantastic time for all the families and they always tend to be very popular. We always host activities during the school holidays.

"We have a lot of regulars that keep coming back whenever the school holidays come round."

Activities including trails, quizzes and crafts are lined up on from April 11 to 13 from 11am to 3pm at the house.

Visitors can catch birds of prey between 11.30am and 2pm on Tuesday, April 11. Oak House will be open between 1pm and 5pm on Easter Sunday to play host to Easter-themed trails and crafts.

On Easter Monday from 11am until 3pm is the Oak House family fun day, including children's entertainment with Ron Popple and a bouncy castle.

Families can also learn about bees and have a go at tasting honey on April 16.

Craft activities start from 50p to £2.50 depending on the craft. There will also be a small charge for going on the bouncy castle on Easter Monday.
