He may be living in Italy at the moment but England number one Joe Hart made sure he visited his favourite tattoo shop on his return to home soil.

Goalkeeper Hart, 29, is currently on loan with Serie A side Torino from Manchester City, the club where the Shrewsbury born star forged his reputation as one of the best in the country.

After returning to the country last week for England's 2-0 victory against Lithuania, Hart, who spent a year on loan at Birmingham City FC in 2009, stopped by Vivid Ink in Stafford to get a new tattoo.

Vivid Ink owner Rue Jay said: "Joe is just a really lovely guy, he is someone we have worked with before and there isn't a bad word I could say about him.

"He signed a few shirts for us to auction off for Comic Relief and was happy to pose for pictures with people and speak to people.

"He didn't say much about his time in Italy but his Italian is coming on well."

Hart called on the shop for help before his move to Torino, booking in a last minute tattoo session the night before he left the country.

Ahead of his £50m transfer to Manchester City, England defender John Stones also popped into the Stafford Vivid Ink studio to get inked before the Euro 2016 campaign.

Fellow England colleague Fabian Delph had recommended Vivid Ink to him, after regularly using the branch in Sutton Coldfield.
