Richard-Hubert Clarke, a media technician in Wednesfield High Academy, set up production company Devious last year.

The film, entitled Equation, is a 'dramatic suspense thriller' and he's hoping product placement deals will help make the film a reality.

The screenplay has been sent to a host of critics and actors, including Sir Derek Jacobi, who wrote: "Thank you for the fascinating script of Equation.

"I've read it with great enjoyment and interest."

Mr Clarke, aged 43, from Moseley, Birmingham, said: "I have placed my life-savings into the project.

"I am also working with partners on a Quid Pro Quo basis, this means we acquire products and services in exchange for means other than monetary."

He is hoping filming will get under way in July.
