Cannock Chase Drama Society will be performing the Disney classic at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock, from Thursday. The show runs from Thursday until Sunday.

In one scene Cinderella's fairy godmother, played by Julie Hunter, performs a magic spell in which she tries to turn a pumpkin into a pony.

But in order to complete the spell she needs help from the children in the audience.

Julie, who is also directing the performance, said: "In the transformation scene the fairy godmother needs all the help she can get and needs the children in the audience to help her.

"We want them all to dress up in fancy dress to help me complete the transformation. They can dress up as whatever they want," she said.

If the children wish hard enough when they are helping the fairy godmother, they will be able to see a real-life Shetland pony on the stage.

Tickets for the show are £12.50 for adults and £10 concessions and can be bought by visiting www.cannockchasedrama.co.uk or by calling 07968 757820.
