New album by Glenn Hughes' Black Country Communion nears completion
A new album by rocker Glenn Hughes and his supergroup Black Country Communion is edging closer to completion.
Cannock-born Glenn, once of of legendary band Deep Purple posted a picture on Twitter of him and his bandmate Joe Bonamassa after a session at a recording studio in Hollywood.
Their group is currently recording its fourth album. It will be the band's first for five years, following 2012's Afterglow.
That reached the top 50 in the Billboard 200 in the United States but by March 2013 the band had split.
Glenn, who also fronted popular early 1970s Wolverhampton band Trapeze, tweeted: "Almost finished recording #BCC 4. Pictured here with brother @JBONAMASSA (guitarist Joe Bonamassa) at the studio in Hollywood."
Black Country Communion also stars drummer Jason Bonham, son of late, legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.
Glenn will return to the Black Country later this month when he plays Bilston's Robin 2 as part of a solo tour of the UK and Europe.
