Elvis musical heading to Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre

Wolverhampton Musical Comedy Company (MUSCOM) will return to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre next year with a musical based on the hits of 'The King' himself, Elvis Presley.

All Shook Up will run from March 14 to March 18 and has a story based on the Shakespeare play the Twelfth Night.

The year is 1955 when a guitar-playing roustabout, Chad, rides into a square little town in a square little state - in a nearby dreary little town, Natalie, a young mechanic, is dreaming of love and adventure while she yearns for one true love to take her away.

Liam Sargeant will play Chad. Liam is currently studying at the University of Oxford. His previous appearances with MUSCOM include Joe 'Jose' Vegas in Fame and Emmett Forest in Legally Blonde.

Following her acclaimed performance as Elle Woods in MUSCOM's 2015 production of Legally Blonde, Katie Astbury from Wolverhampton will play Natalie.

Jess Olford will play Lorraine, Michael Astley is Dean, Colette Forsyth is Sylvia, Chris Wolverson plays Jim, Zac Hollinshead plays Dennis, Kimberly Corsellis is Miss Sandra, Johann Davis is Mayor Matilda Hyde and Paul Murdock is Sheriff Earl.

The rest of the company is made up of talented local performers under the direction and choreography of Denise Robinson, Musical Direction is by James Maddison.
