Wolverhampton panto star Lisa Riley pledges support to city's Samaritans
TV and pantomime star Lisa Riley has pledged her support to the Samaritans, in Wolverhampton, to ensure no one is left feeling lonely this Christmas.
Lisa, who is currently starring in Aladdin, at the Grand Theatre, visited the Samaritans, on Newhampton Road West, to encourage people to call the charity.
Lisa said: "We often hear about older people feeling vulnerable and alone, but I'm here to pledge my support as it can happen to anyone.
"I want to say to them, it's okay to feel down - especially at this time of year.
"I just want to raise awareness of the fact that they are there if you need them."
Vernon Dodd, director of the Samaritans in Wolverhampton said: "Remember there is always someone there at the end of the line."
