Ticket frenzy as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits screen
Star Wars fans have used the force to snap up tickets to midnight showings of the hotly-anticipated new film tonight.
Clamour for seats for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been manic, with cinemas in the region urging fans to snap up tickets before they sell-out.
Sci-fi geeks can be the first to see it at midnight showings at Cineworld, at Bentley Bridge Retail Park, Wolverhampton, and Showcase Cinemas, in Bentley Mill Way, Walsall, and Castlegate Way, Dudley.
The film will be officially released at UK cinemas just after midnight tonight.

The latest movie is the first anthology film of the franchise, and is a standalone story set shortly before the events of the original movie.
It was written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, from a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta.
It stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.
The film was produced by Lucasfilm. Avi Ghataore, general manager of Cineworld, Wolverhampton, said: "Our midnight screenings of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are proving a real hit with fans. We're really happy to say that they're our most popular midnight showings to date at Cineworld, Wolverhampton, so they really are hot tickets.
"We're looking forward to welcoming fans through the doors on Thursday. There are still some tickets available."
Rob Turner, duty manager at the Light House cinema, in Fryer Street, Wolverhampton, said: "We've had a fair few pre sales, there has been a lot of interest in the film." The Light House is showing the movie from 2pm tomorrow with another showing at 8.10pm. There will also be a showing at 5.20pm on Friday just in time for the children breaking up from school with more screenings over the weekend. Admission is £4.50 for all under-25s and students.
