Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service's annual Family Festival of Carols was once again held in Lichfield Cathedral.

The service, held on Sunday evening, once again gave residents a Christmas-time treat.

School children acted out the nativity play after a performance from the Lichfield Cathedral Chamber Choir.

Vice-Dean and Canon, Dr Anthony Moore, presided over the service, which was followed by sharing of mince pies and tea and coffee afterwards.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service marketing and communications manager Jude Russell, who organised the event, said: "The Family Festival of Carols was once again a joyous event for everyone who attended and really is the start of the Christmas season for the fire and rescue service. It was a magical evening thoroughly enjoyed by people of all ages who travelled the length and breadth of the county to take part."
