Wolverhampton's Chindit Inn host fundraising event
It will be music to the ears of hospital chiefs when they hear that over £1,000 has been raised for them at a pub music night.

The Deanesly cancer care centre at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital was the obvious choice when The Chindit Inn at Merridale Road, Merridale, decided to hold a charity fund raising event.
Its landlord John Smith, who has run the pub for 21 years, got the all clear after undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy at the unit for bowel cancer.
All the performers gave their services free at the fund raiser. They included the Wolverhampton Yukulele Club who hold their weekly practice at the pub.
Thebill was topped by well-known local folk singer John Richards
