Murder mystery from acclaimed playwright at Festival Drayton Centre

There's been a murder at the Festival Drayton Centre, but whodunnit? An unscheduled rehearsal is called at the centre and, during it, rising star Carina Harris is found dead.

Now the play's director must turn detective to find out which of the temperamental cast members is the killer.

The Empty Stage is an innovative murder mystery from the pen of award-winning and critically acclaimed playwright Tobias Nicholls uniquely set on the stage of the Festival Drayton Centre so it will be a real treat for theatre goers looking for something different.

Purple Dreams Productions, who are producing the spectacle, are a completely self-funded group formed in 2012 and have been touring theatres for the past four years with original plays written exclusively for them by their founder and creative director critically acclaimed Tobias Nicholls.

This play is packed with enough plot twists and turns to keep the audience guessing as they witness the most deadly rehearsal Shropshire has ever seen.

Already being well received by audiences as it tours the country, it is expertly scripted and sure to get you guessing - whodunnit?
