Honour for Peaky Blinders creator
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has been confirmed as the new patron of Birmingham Film Festival.

Mr Knight has also written films including Eastern Promises starring Viggo Mortensen and Allied starring Brad Pitt - which is due out in November.
Film festival bosses hailed Mr Knight as a champion of the city's talent and potential.
The festival runs from November 25 to 27 .
There will be film screenings at the Mockingbird Theatre, Digbeth, and the Awards Gala at the Park Regis Hotel.
