The baking competition has been launched to raise money for children's hospice charity, the Donna Louise Trust.

The challenge is for baking enthusiasts to create a flavoured savoury loaf or sponge cake of their choice.

Judging will be carried out over the weekend of October 22 and 23 by the marina's head chef, directors and farm shop managers. They will be looking for flavour and texture. Director Helen Webb said: "Baking is a national obsession. We pride ourselves at the marina on being cake and bread addicts.

"We're proud to support the Donna Louise Trust and thought it would be fun to capitalise on baking mania whilst raising funds for this worthy cause."

The winner will receive a food hamper packed with goodies hand-picked from the shelves of Aston Marina farm shop.

To enter, hopefuls can pick up an entry form from Aston Marina Farm Shop and Deli and choose the category.
