John Travolta Birmingham date cancelled

A rare appearance by Hollywood superstar John Travolta in Birmingham this weekend has been cancelled.

Organisers have blamed an 'unforeseen issue' for the event being dropped at the International Convention Centre. The star of Grease and Pulp Fiction was to take part in a Q&A in 'An Experience with John Travolta' on Saturday.

However the event, which was billed as a world exclusive and had included the chance to meet and have a photo with the actor via platinum packages costing £999, has been mysteriously axed.

With event organiser Olexy Group not providing a reason for the cancellation, it is not clear if the decision was made over illness, other commitments, or ticket sales. The organisers are looking to reschedule the event for 2017 though no date has been announced.
