Black Country Boating Festival in Netherton to return

Between 60 and 80 narrowboats are expected in Netherton this weekend for the 31st Black Country Boating Festival.

The festival along the Dudley No 2 Canal at the Bumblehole and Windmill End is running from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Admission to the site is free and attractions also include a fun fair, boat trips and trade and craft stalls.

Organiser Paddy Grice said that there would be live music on two stages on the Saturday which would go on into the evening.

Members of the Dudley and South Staffordshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale will be manning the real ale and cider tent at the festival.

There will be a display of classic cars on Saturday.
