Hayleigh Curtis works as part of a 300-strong team of creative inventors in the innovation kitchen at Bournville, the home of Cadbury.

Ms Curtis and her team are responsible for the creation and development of every new chocolate product created by the chocolate firm's owner, Mondelez International, anywhere in the world.

Ms Curtis will need to avoid sword swallowing, and eating Fugu fish and chilli peppers with a Scoville heat rating of greater than 350,000, which could compromise her taste buds and render the insurance from Lloyd's of London void. She said: "This is a really exciting day for me.

"I've grown up with Cadbury and it has always played a really important role in my life, so it's great to be part of a team that sit at the global headquarters for chocolate invention at Mondelez International."
