Summer activities at Sandwell parks
A host of activities have been lined up in Sandwell this summer which will take place over a range of parks.
They will be hosted by Sandwell Council across six parks during the six weeks summer holiday.
Activities will include sports - such as cricket, archery, football, tennis, tag rugby - story telling sessions, music and dance, food activities, picnics and fun fairs.
Councillor Richard Marshall, cabinet member for leisure said: "We've teamed up with lots of partners from all sectors to deliver a massive variety of activities this summer in Sandwell.
"There's a real variety of activities planned from football to music, from dance, archery to storytelling. We hope there's something for everyone, whatever the weather."
"Sandwell Council is offering all this for free during the summer holidays. So if you're a parent with young children, or a young person living in Sandwell or in any of the neighbouring authorities, then take this opportunity to get involved in free activities in a park near you."
The activities are free to enter and open to young people aged from 0 to 19 years.
They will run from July 25 to September 4.
The parks will include Sandwell Valley in West Bromwich, Barnford Park in Oldbury, Victoria Park in Smethwick, Jubilee Park in Tipton, Britannia Park in Rowley Regis and Brunswick Park in Wednesbury.
There will also be other activities hosted at Victoria Park in Tipton, Tividale Park in Oldbury, Bury Hill Park in Tividale, Moor Street Open Field in Wednesbury and Queensway Playing Field in Brandhall, Oldbury.
Registration will need to take place 24 hours before attending.
