The Ordinary Boys had been scheduled to perform but pulled out just a couple of days ago, leaving organisers disappointed, but vowing that the show will go on.

Cheryl Baker, from Bucks Fizz, has promised the audience some cheeky dance routines along with some classic hits.

She said: "There will be velcro-ripping madness, there always is. We love this time of year with all the festivals going on, it's so much fun.

"The audiences seem to get more into it and are always up for having a great time. We have a bit of a party on the stage and it might spill into the audience.

"We'll be doing our three number ones as well as some of our top 10 and top 20 hits. Then we do a big 80s medley and finish off with our two biggest songs, The Land of Make Believe and Making Your Mind Up.

"We do all the old dance routines and wear the outfits, people seem to really enjoy it.

"We're really looking forward to it, it's going to be great.

"We're still performing together all the time. In September, October and November we'll be doing our Make Believe tour."

The bill will also welcome a blues, rock, ska and indie musicians from around the country from 4pm on Saturday at the £25 a ticket event.

The festival begins tonight, with a host of other musicians from different genres at venues throughout the village and continues through until Sunday.
