The Jolly Fryer at the Fernwood Shopping parade in Rugeley has been selected by leading oil company Frymax to receive a 30 year award in recognition of supplying top quality fish and chips to the people of Rugeley and the Cannock Chase district.

The popular chippy is the longest established fish and chip shop in Rugeley.

Manager Andrew Partou said: "Over the years we have taken pride in providing a service to our local community in producing fresh, quality products at affordable prices in a friendly customer environment.

"One of the rewarding things about running a local shop is that your customers become your friends and you serve fish and chips from generation to generation."
