Wolverhampton's Faces closes down: The city nightspot through the years in pictures
Following the news that Wolverhampton city centre nightspot Faces has closed down, we take a look at the different names and guises the club has held in recent years.
Faces Nightclub, formerly known as Oceana, has closed with bosses saying they have been left with no alternative because of the costs of running the huge venue in Bilston Street.
The Bilston Street club opened as Faces in 2013 after being given a £750,000 refurbishment.
Before that, the attraction was known as Oceana, which opened in the city back in 2006. That closed back in 2012, with the loss of 75 jobs, due to owners Luminar going into with debts of £140 million.
While it was open a number of celebrities including JLS and soap stars appeared at the venue. At the time of its closure the club's manager Mark Hickey said: "I can hand on heart say that this decision was not taken lightly and since going into administration in November 2011 we have done everything possible to keep the club alive.
"I was unsure exactly what Wolves would be able to offer me but 99.9 per cent of people around here have been fantastic to have as customers and friends."
Before becoming Oceana, the nightspot was named Atlantis.
