In pictures: Severn Valley Railway goes back to 1940s
Railway goers enjoyed took a trip back back in time for a 1940s-themed weekend at Severn Valley.
People dressed up in traditional attire and joined costumed re-enactors at stations up and down the line, sharing wartime tales and partaking in a host of activities.
'Sir Winston Churchill', 'The King' and 'General Montgomery' were all aboard the train for the celebratory event. At Kidderminster, attractions included a Dig for Victory garden and classic vehicle displays.
There was also an evacuation of school children and a closing ceremony on Sunday. There was also an evacuation of Kidderminster Station before the evening Big Band Show and it's spectacular finale on Saturday. At Bewdley, there were classic vehicle displays and 1940s stalls, while Arley saw also saw classic motors as well as A 1940s-style wedding.
At Highley and The Engine House, there was a battle re-enactment, military vehicle displays, live entertainment and a genuine King George VI Royal Carriage on display.
Hampton Loade saw classic vehicle displays and Paddock Railway running on all four days, while at Bridgnorth there was live entertainment and a re-enactment of the arrival of schoolchildren evacuated from Kidderminster.
A Spitfire on Saturday and Hurricane on Sunday were seen in the skies for flypasts thanks to the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
