Black Country couple celebrate 60 years after meeting at Dudley Hippodrome
It was a match made in heaven as Brian and Ann Griffiths celebrated 60 years together.
Mr and Mrs Griffiths, from Mills Walk, Tipton, both met after spending a night at Dudley Hippodrome as teenagers.
They married at St Johns Church in Tipton on June 9 1956 and went on to have two children Brian, aged 60, and Annette, aged 50, four grandchildren Andrew, Kieron, Ryan and Liam and five great grandchildren Shelby, Kiera, Kyla, Ethan and Sharna.
Mr Griffiths went into the army when he was 18.
Their daughter Annette Goddard, from Coseley, said that they had spent their married live dedicated to their family.
"They've been wonderful parents to us – the best we could have wished for," Mrs Goddard said. "They loved spending time at their caravan in Stourport over the years and in the early 90s we would holiday abroad to Egypt and Malta.
They celebrated their anniversary by having a day out at the Black Country Living Museum and a meal with the family.
